This captivating show takes us into the birth of a mythical monkey born from a rock, his quest for immortality, and above all, his battles with celestial generals.

Director Robert Reid harmoniously blends ancestral practices dating back over two thousand years, such as the Pingshu tale, Guzheng music, shadow theatre and Beijing opera (a UNESCO world heritage site), with Western theatre. This piece brings together Western and Chinese arts, uniting modernity and tradition.
