Why choose when you can celebrate it all?
Aurore Liang and Michelle Jiang were born and raised in China. Since arriving in Quebec, they’ve discovered a wonderful treasure: the chance to experience multiple traditions and enjoy countless opportunities to come together. With Christmas, Western New Year, and the Lunar New Year, we have nearly two months to extend the magic of the holidays!
So why not invite Quebecers to discover the rituals, symbols, and customs of the Chinese New Year, and share in the simple joy of celebrating together? After the Christmas turkey and New Year’s champagne, how about gathering around some delicious homemade Chinese dumplings and toasting the new year with a small glass of rice wine?
Because, deep down, all major holidays are a bit alike: they bring people together around a table, create memories we still talk about years later, and bring us closer to one another. And between us, the more reasons we have to celebrate, the better!
