February is already here, and with it comes Valentine's Day. But did you know that China has also been celebrating a lovers' holiday for over 2,000 years? Inspired by an ancient legend, it tells the story of an impossible love between a fairy and a young cowherd. Separated by fate, they can only meet once a year, when benevolent magpies, symbols of happiness, form a celestial bridge to reunite them.
To highlight this emotionally charged tradition, we have created Love and Temptation, a show that explores the many facets of love. Through performances inspired by traditional Chinese arts, we delve into the heart of human passions, between trials, fidelity, and forbidden desires.
Love is a universal theme that transcends time and cultures. By revisiting this timeless legend, our creation celebrates the power of feelings and the beauty of stories that have united humanity since the beginning of time.
