On January 18 and 19, 2025, Quebec City vibrated to the rhythm of tales and legends from the Chinese millennium, with an immersive show presented in three of the city's iconic libraries: Bibliothèque Monique-Corriveau, Bibliothèque Félix-Leclerc and Bibliothèque Gabrielle-Roy. The event was part of Serpent's Spring Festival celebrations.

Featuring Aurore Liang, Michelle Jiang and Xiao Chen, the show transported young and old alike into the world of Chinese mythology.

An interactive and immersive show
Far from being mere spectators, participants were called upon to play an active role by becoming allies of the heroes in moving the stories forward. From 6-year-olds to 80-year-olds, everyone took part in this unique cultural adventure, making the experience even more lively and engaging.

Enriching cultural engagement workshops
After each performance, cultural engagement workshops were organized to enable spectators to deepen their understanding of Chinese artistic practices. Accessible and fun, these moments of exchange aroused great interest in both children and adults, who were quick to ask many questions about these fascinating traditions.

A shared enthusiasm
At the end of the show, many spectators rushed to meet the artists to immortalize the moment in photos. The emotion was palpable, and the feedback glowing: "It was entertaining, instructive, captivating... We don't have the words to describe what we experienced!

This series of shows and workshops not only allowed Quebec City residents to discover the richness of Chinese traditions, but also to celebrate the Lunar New Year under the banner of sharing and cultural discovery.
